Jay Woodward was born June 15, 1978, in Laconia, NH. He came to Christ in the fall of 1998 as a student at Plymouth State College (now University) through Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. He graduated in the summer of 2000.

Around that time, Jay began attending Praise Assembly in Tilton, NH, and was seeking and waiting upon God’s calling for his life. In January 2003, Cdr. Jerry Love, then Senior Commander for OP #36, asked Jay to become involved in Royal Rangers. With time and encouragement, he has grown in the ministry. He has served in the Outpost on the Outpost Council, and as a Lieutenant Commander.

He has attended NTC, WNTC, and in 2005, was the first commander in NNED to receive his LMA under the new LTA program! Most recently, in fall 2006, Jay was appointed Pony Express Editor. Jay lives in Franklin, NH, and is employed by Lincoln Financial Group in Concord, NH. He’s single. One of his favorite Bible verses is Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.”
